Sophia in Nebraska needs our help

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Kip Van Winkle and I am the 5th-6th grade teacher at Faith Christian School in Kearney, Nebraska.

My class is doing a state’s project in which they send a letter to newspapers in the state they are studying in hopes you will print the letter in your paper asking readers to help with our project. The letter asks if readers will be willing to send them any maps, brochures, souvenirs or anything that will help them learn about your state. Anything that the students receive will be used in our states fair at the beginning of May. Below is the letter from the student.

Sincerely,
Mr. Kip Van Winkle

Dear Gaffney Ledger Readers:

My name is Sophia and I am a 5th grader at Faith Christian School in Kearney, Nebraska.

My class is studying the 50 states and I have chosen South Carolina as my state.

Our assignment is to find out as much about our states as we can and I was wondering if you would help me out. Would you be willing to send me any information about your state?

Some examples could be maps, brochures, souvenirs or anything else that would be helpful. We will be having our states fair at the end of the school year to display all of our information. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Sophia
