The Cherokee County School District is building a $20 million high school career center on a 12.63-acre site on Spartanburg Community College’s Cherokee County branch campus. Cherokee Technology Center is scheduled to open in August of 2018 and serve up to 800 high school students. The district is leasing the land from SCC for $1 per year for 99 years.
