The Cherokee County Veterans Park Committee needs your help

Each year the Veterans Park Committee prints a Veterans Day Book and encourages veterans and their families to submit their veteran's picture.

The book can be updated each year. In 2015 the committee added an additional 450 pictures, making a total of 650 pictures in last year's Veterans Day Book. So far in 2016, they have received around 700 pictures, which makes a little over one percent of the 11,000 names of veterans engraved on the walls at the Cherokee County Veterans Park. The park is located across the street from Logan Street Hotdogs on Logan Street.

The cut off date to submit pictures for this year’s book has been extended until August 8.

Photos can be brought to the Veterans Affairs Office in the County Administration Building on Railroad Avenue. Pictures will be scanned and returned to the family immediately.
