Boyce Mullinax

Boyce (Stinker) Wayne Mullinax, 50, of 790 River Drive, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Forest William Mullinax and Rosa Dover Mullinax. He was a former body builder, avid fisherman, loved to cook and ride horses, and had a great love for bluegrass music. He was retired from textiles and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is a son, Jack Mullinax of Spartanburg; a daughter, Courtney Mullinax of Spartanburg; a brother, Mann Mullinax of Gaffney; eight sisters, Emma Caldwell and husband, Steven of Gaffney, Linda James and husband, Larry of Gaffney, Shirley Neal and husband, Wayne of Harmony, N.C., Brenda Parker and husband, Donnie of Gaffney, Joanne Mullinax of Gaffney, Marie (Snookie) Mullinax and husband, Jerry Runyans of Gaffney, Wanda Sue Mullinax of Gaffney and Nancy Peeler and husband, Leonard of Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Wood officiating.

Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC, 29615.

The family will be at the home of Donnie and Brenda Parker, 209 Old Race Track Road.
