Memorial held for bike shop shooting victims

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Four people shot and killed at a motorcycle shop in Spartanburg County 10 years ago were honored during a memorial service.

Those speaking at the ceremony in Spartanburg on Wednesday evening urged anyone with information about the shootings to come forward.

No arrests have been made in the shooting that occurred Nov. 6, 2003 at the Superbike Motorsports shop in Chesnee.

Thirty-year-old Scott Ponder, his 52-year-old mother Beverly Elaine Guy and two other employees, 29-yearold Brian Lucas and 26-year-old Chris Sherbert died in the shooting. A customer found the victims.

Nine-year-old Scottie Ponder told those at the service he will never get to take a ride on motorcycles with his father.

Melissa Ponder said she's grateful for the support she and her son have received.
