Thanks for dice run support

Dear Editor:

So many volunteers, donations and participants helped to make Tumeby’s Tap Room’s first annual dice run a success on Saturday, Sept. 21. This year’s event was a charity run for the Humane Society of Cherokee County and Meals On Wheels of Cherokee County. The event netted $500 for each organization.

Tumeby’s would like to say a special thanks to the volunteers who made the run a success: Malissa Powell, Lynn McAbee, Michelle Sexton, Crysta Mullinax, Shane Granger, Reecee Allen, Lynn Horne, Jennifer Fowler, Jimmy Carter, Phyllis Randolph and April Parker. Leslie Brock’s many long hours of work before and during the the event were especially appreciated.

Many local businesses and individuals contributed money and items for the silent auction and raffle: Sharon Diederich, Laurence Crocker, Joey and Mary Jane Jennings, Cynthia Link, Talk of the Town, Sherri Jolliff, Salon Palazzo, Johnny Little, Pet Connection, Donna Folkes, Vic’s Tire, Bronco’s, The Clock, House of Pizza, Sake Sushi Bar, Daddy Joe’s, Olive Garden, Hair Gallery, Melaine, Sagebrush Steakhouse, Substation, Watering Hole, McDonald’s, Bojangles, Vicky Bright Randolph, Smart Style Salon, Denise McCullough and Trackside Diner.

John Brackett and ZooFood provided the music and entertainment and Susan Buckley captured the event on camera.

On behalf of Tumeby’s Tap Room, we want to give a great big thanks to al of those who participated, to those who worked so diligently to make the event a success and to all of our benefactors.
