Randy “Cowboy” Davis, employed at Magnolia for 36 years

SHELBY, N.C.— Mr. Randy “Cowboy” Davis, 60, 5022 Pecan Drive, died Thursday, May 9, 2013.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Reba Cash Davis of Shelby and the late A.V. Davis.

He was a 36 year employee of Magnolia in Gaffney, where he was a team leader of quality assurance. He recently retired from Number Three Volunteer Fire Department with 21 years of service.

He was a man who loved his family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Moss Davis.

He is survived by three sons, Brian Davis and wife Melisa, Brad Davis, and Timmy Davis and fiancee Shannon Walker; two sisters, Marla Boone and husband Steve, Renee Dyer and husband Cliff, all of Shelby; two brothers, Wayne Davis and wife Vickie of Mooresboro, N.C., Ricky Davis and wife Donna of Blacksburg; six grandchildren, Brent, Shawn, Jeremy, Benjamin, Travis and J.R. Davis; stepsons, Keith Patterson of Raleigh, N.C., and Kevin Patterson of Fla.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, at 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Billy Boone officiating.

Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, and other times at his mother’s home, 2720 S. Post Road, Shelby.
