SCHSL releases football schedules

The South Carolina High School League released each school’s football schedule this week.

The Indians are slated to open the season on Friday, Aug. 17 at home against Northwestern.

On Aug. 24, the Indians will travel Clinton. Gaffney will be on the road again on Aug. 31 at Union County.

September opens with a home game against York on Sept. 7.

After an open date on Sept. 14, the Indians will host rival Dorman on Sept. 21.

On Sept. 28, the Indians will make the trip to Greenville to play at Wade Hampton.

On Oct. 5, the Indians will host Mauldin before its annual showdown on Oct. 12 against Byrnes. That game will be played at The Reservation.

The Indians travel to Riverside on Oct. 19 before a trip to Boiling Springs.

The Indians close out the regular season at home on Nov. 2 against old rival Spartanburg.

As for Blacksburg, the Wildcats open the season on the road on Aug. 24 at St. Joseph’s before hosting Indian Land on Aug. 31.

On Sept. 7, Broome will come to T.A. Campbell Stadium.

Blacksburg will travel to Crescent on Sept. 14 and host Pendleton on Sept. 21.

On Sept. 28, Blacksburg will play at Carolina Academy.

Blacksburg will host Liberty on Oct. 5 and travel to rival Landrum for a big region game on Oct. 12.

The Wildcats will finish the regular season at home against Chesnee on Oct. 19 and at Powdersville on Oct. 26.
