Jarvis Littlejohn is a well-known former Gaffney High linebacker. But he’s making a name for himself in another sport.

As head coach of the Gaffney ninth-grade basketball team the past two seasons, Littlejohn has compiled an impressive 30-6 record

This season, he’s guided the Indians to a 15-2 record, including a 7-1 mark in the region.

The Indians travel to Northwestern today and will host Spartanburg on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Gaffney Middle with the region championship on the line.

This year’s team is led by Montavious Rogers, Derrick Dawkins and Greg Ellis.

Makel Noel, Brezerio Douglas and Trey Dawkins also have played key roles in the team’s success.

“This team will be special if they continue to play hard,” Littlejohn said.
