(Ledger photos / TIM GULLA) A 24-year-old Blacksburg man was taken to the hospital following a two-car wreck at a North Logan Street intersection Monday.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, Jerry A. Norman Jr., of Old Chester Road, was headed north on North Logan at 3:38 p.m. when a vehicle traveling east on Meadow Street disregarded a stop sign and struck Norman’s 1999 Dodge.

The driver of the second vehicle, Sara Elizabeth Loomis, of Barker Trail Road, Cleveland, Ga., was ticketed by Gaffney Police.

The collision caused Norman’s vehicle to spin in the roadway. It came to rest against a utility pole and had to be towed from the scene.

Norman was taken to Upstate Carolina Medical Center following the crash. His condition wasn’t immediately known. (Tim Gulla)
