BPW chairman re-elected

By LARRY HILLIARD Ledger Staff Writer larry@gaffneyledger.com

There is no change at the top of the Board of Public Works commission.

Commissioner Grady Randolph was re-elected as chairman without opposition. Ditto for secretary Joe Dean Knuckles and treasurer Elijah Inabinette, who were each re-elected by acclamation.

Each officer will serve a 2- year term.

As chairman, Randolph will preside over the meetings and have a say in setting each meeting's agenda.

Prior to the election of officers, Board attorney Jim Thompson administered the oath of office to Knuckles and Inabinette, who each won a new 6-year term in last month's city election.
