Wanted suspect surrenders

TERRY JENKINS TERRY JENKINS A suspect on Cherokee County's most wanted list surrendered to authorities Tuesday.

Detective Sgt. Billy Odom has charged Terry Lee Jenkins, 46, of 1424 Leadmine Road, Gaffney, with armed robbery. He remains jailed pending a bond hearing.

Jenkins is one of three suspects charged in connection with the June 6 armed robbery of Eastside Sav Mor, 302 Wilkinsville Hwy., Gaffney.

Vincent Maurice Harris, 37, of 428 Indian Hill St., Gaffney, and Michael Anthony Black, 44, of 404 Hetty Hill St., Gaffney, are each charged with armed robbery in that case.

Black, a registered sex offender, has been released on bond.

Harris, who remains jailed in lieu of $120,000 bond, is also charged by the sheriff's department with robbing Moss's Mini Mart on Hwy. 18 on June 1.

Police served outstanding warrants on Harris for assault and battery and a probation violation when they arrested him June 7.
